Jerome Brock Parker, Owner of Warpaint Enterprises died in a tragic accident on May 21 – Obituary
The community of North Carolina is mourning the tragic and untimely loss of Jerome Brock Parker, a beloved 42-year-old husband, father, son, and friend, who passed away on May 21, 2025. Known to most simply as “Brock,” he was a man of extraordinary talent, quiet strength, and deep devotion to family and community.
Born on April 2, 1983, Brock Parker leaves behind a legacy marked by bold accomplishments, heartfelt relationships, and a life lived to the fullest. A proud member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, Brock embodied the values of integrity, generosity, and resilience instilled in him by his parents, Connie and Jerry Parker.
A Champion On and Off the Track
Brock’s passion for motorsports began early. At the age of 15, he was already making a name for himself as a Grand National Cross-Country (GNCC) ATV racer. His tenacity and skill culminated in a historic victory in 2002, when he became the youngest GNCC champion in the sport’s history. He went on to join Kawasaki Motors’ 2003 Team Green ATV GNCC race team, earning sponsorships and recognition across the racing world—not just for his talent, but also for the friendships and bonds he built along the way.
Though he eventually left the track, the competitive spirit and work ethic he developed in racing carried over into every other part of his life.
A Craftsman, Entrepreneur, and Visionary
After attending Southwestern Community College and Western Carolina University, Brock earned a welding certificate and quickly gained a reputation for excellence in metal fabrication. With a visionary spirit and sharp business acumen—traits passed down from his father—he founded Warpaint Enterprises, a successful excavation and land development business.
Brock’s talents went far beyond machinery. He could build, engineer, or repair almost anything. His ventures weren’t just business—they were personal missions to create something lasting, something that would serve others and stand the test of time.
One of his proudest accomplishments was the creation of The Parker Mill, a wedding venue he and his wife transformed from a historic wood mill. Brock took pride in preserving the character of the building, incorporating antique tools and relics that told a story. It wasn’t just a venue—it was a testament to his craftsmanship and his desire to honor the past while building for the future.
A Heart Devoted to Family
Despite his many ventures and adventures—hunting and fishing across Africa, Alaska, Canada, Michigan, Wyoming, and more—Brock’s greatest love was his family. His marriage to Alexis Willey, whom he met in 2013, was a storybook romance grounded in deep friendship, mutual respect, and true partnership. Their bond was palpable to everyone who saw them together.
But Brock’s heart belonged most of all to his daughter, Emilia Marie—his “whiddle baby.” She was the light of his life, and he spared no effort in building a future filled with love, security, and adventure for her. Whether it was taking her for a ride in his equipment or sharing laughs at home, his world revolved around her.
A Life That Touched Many
Brock’s warm presence, infectious laugh, and quick wit made him unforgettable. Whether it was a friend, neighbor, colleague, or a stranger at a race, Brock had a unique ability to connect with people and make them feel seen and valued.
He was a natural protector and provider—a man who took care of those around him, fiercely loyal to his family and friends. The “Andrews Fabulous Five,” a close-knit group of cousins, was one example of the bonds he cherished throughout his life.
A Community in Mourning
Brock is survived by his wife Alexis, his daughter Emilia, his parents Connie and Jerry, his nephew Trevan, and a wide network of extended family, close friends, and colleagues who will feel his absence deeply.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 31 at 3 p.m. at The Parker Mill, where loved ones will gather to honor a man who was larger than life and filled every space with love, laughter, and purpose.
In the face of this devastating loss, the Parker family expresses deep gratitude for the outpouring of support from friends, neighbors, and the wider community. Your prayers and kindness have brought comfort during this incredibly difficult time.
